About Brookend
The land is privately owned but the pools are managed, maintained and run by Chris & Gary along with a willing band of volunteers.
Set in just over 8 acres, the Top pool is heart shaped and has various fish species in it; this pool is situated next to the car park and easily accessible.
The Bottom pool (match pool) has 30 pegs set out with slab bases available to book for contests (exclusive rights to pool) / Knock ups = part of pool only.
You can fish all year round with a good head of silver fish for the winter and predominantly Carp for the summer.

Fish Welfare
We look after our fish, we nurture them and ensure they have a clean, perfect living environment. In turn we like our anglers to do the same so we can maintain such conditions for everyone.
Good Practice
- All fish above 4oz to be landed by a landing net
- Large fish to be placed onto a Carp mat or in a cradle
- If you do not have either, please leave fish in a landing net, remove the hook and put it back in gently
Catch & Release
- Keep nets by permission only (except contests/knock ups)
- Any fish caught under 1lb must returned to the water immediately
- Only 1 keep net allowed for fish over 1lb
- Alternatively, weigh large fish and put it back in
- All fish to be handled with care and returned to the water safely
- No standing with fish for photographs
Prevent Spread of Disease
- Please use net dip provided
- Landing net & keep nets must be spread out on the bank and dried out before use
IF IN DOUBT, PLEASE ASK, THANK YOU
History of Brookend
Two pools were man-made approximately 30+ years ago and are continually being improved to enhance your fishing experience.
Over the years individual managers have made their own mark on the pools. Chris has been there since 2009 and has made considerable improvements to the site. The fishery has three pools: (1) Blue Lagoon (golden rudd, roach, carp, perch & crucians), (2) Island Pool (silvers), (3) Brookside (22 varieties of fish up to 28lbs plus)
We appreciates your feedback so please speak to Chris or Gary via email [click here] if you have suggestions on how we can further improve your experience. A suggestion box is available at the fishery for your comments
